Meredith goes to LA to meet Yogi Roth

Running has opened many doors for RunningWorks Founder and Executive Director Meredith Dolhare. She says some of those doors presented challenges and others presented opportunities beyond her wildest dreams.

RunningWorks Founder and Executive Director Meredith Dolhare says she was honored to appear as a guest on the Yogi Roth Show.

As an accomplished ultrarunner and elite athlete, Meredith has had the opportunity to compete in races all over the globe including the Brazil 175 Ultramarathon, the Badwater 135-mile footrace through Death Valley in the heat of summer, the Kona Ironman World Championship, and the Furnace Creek 508 mile cycling race, just to name a few.

“Running has allowed me to meet the most incredible people in the world,” she says. Recently, Meredith added meeting Yogi Roth to that list of incredible encounters.

In February, Meredith was invited out to L.A. to be a guest on the Yogi Roth Show.   The popular podcast explores the humanity in sports.

“It was one of the coolest experiences yet in my ten years of racing the globe,” Meredith says. “And it was thanks to a ‘kid’ I coached several years ago! Someone I didn’t even realize I had impacted in such a way.”

The “kid” she is referring to is Stuart Gill, who now serves as the curator of content for The Yogi Roth Show. Being familiar with Meredith’s story, Stuart knew she would be a great fit for the show.

“He asked me to come to LA to be on the podcast and talk about the winding (and sometimes sordid) road that led to the creation of my life’s work, RunningWorks,” she explains. “This has not been a straight line as anyone who knows me well can attest, but it is why I do what I do. Struggle IS a byproduct of success.”

As for Yogi, Meredith describes him as “the best interviewer and person I have ever met. His positive energy alone draws you in, and it is no wonder he is successful with all of his projects across the board.”

Yogi has explored over 30 countries, seeking & uncovering the humanity in sports at each stop.

For those unfamiliar with who Yogi Roth is, check the long list of credits in his bio. A man of many accomplishments, Yogi is a Pac-12 Networks college football analyst, award-winning filmmaker, scholar, New York Times best-selling author, accomplished coach, motivational speaker, media personality, host and world traveler.

Through his podcast “The Yogi Roth Show: Life Without Limits,” Yogi seeks to uncover the humanity in sports around the globe. The show, which is now in its fourth season, has featured many famous and well accomplished athletes and sports figures including Max Browne, Cody Hawkins, Trent Dilfer, Jim Brown, Coach Mack Brown, and many others.
