The days’ events are designed to promote and encourage active families and healthy lifestyles… oh, and celebrate college basketball. The Final-4miler presented by SPORTPORT, will feature a 4 mile run.
North Carolina produces some of the most college basketball athletes and has one of the largest college basketball fan bases in the country. Participants will be encouraged to dress up and support their favorite basketball team and there will also be a costume contest.
The entire event will be basketball themed. There are 4 teams left at the end of the tournament in March and 4 miles on the course.
This amazing course starts and finishes outside the Hornets Stadium on the corner of N. Brevard and 6th Street.

Well into its second decade, the Charlotte RaceFest Half Marathon and 10K will once again take place in the wonderful SouthPark area of Charlotte, NC. Thanks to the support of our participants and sponsors, Charlotte RaceFest is considered one of Charlotte’s premier road-running events. The event offers participants and sponsors the chance to experience a community event full of tradition, goodwill and a feel-good vibe.
The event offers Half Marathon and 10K events AND new for 2019, a 0.0 event for the fun without the run. Our finish line area offers a great post-race atmosphere including vendor displays, community groups, live music and plenty of runner refreshments including food & craft beer.

The H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery Mother’s Day 5K presented by SPORTPORT takes place near Symphony Park in the South Park area of Charlotte, NC.
The Mother’s Day 5K is the new family tradition to starting off your Mother’s Day weekend by celebrating all that is special for the Moms out there. Although the event is designed to celebrate the Moms and Moms to be, the entire family encouraged to participate including dads and boys too.
There will be great activities for the kids (face painting, bouncy house, making Mother’s Day cards or signs for Mom, etc.) and FREE Mimosas and beer for our beautiful Moms.
This event promotes a healthy lifestyle with a focus on fun, family, and community spirit. It’s also baby jogger friendly.
4th Annual 12-Hour Run to End Hunger and Homelessness

Global Running Day is Wednesday, June 5, and RunningWorks is hosting our fourth annual 12-Hour Run To End Homelessness in Uptown Charlotte.
Held the first Wednesday of June, Global Running Day is all about celebrating the sport of running. Running is not just for racers and marathoners. It’s a sport that people of a variety fitness levels can enjoy.
Many organizations across the country use Global Running Day to bring awareness to special causes impacting their communities. Naturally, RunningWorks is using the day to raise awareness of issues impacting those who are homeless or living in poverty in the Carolinas.
The 12-hour run will begin at 6 a.m. on the corner of Trade and Tryon Street. RunningWorks team members and community volunteers will run relay-style for 12 hours. We are also setting up a tent in the city square to distribute information about homelessness in the Carolinas and our efforts to combat homelessness and poverty.
